Physical therapy is form of treatment that seeks to improve the function of your joints and muscles. This is done with the use of modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, whirlpool as well as exercise, muscle strengthening, soft tissue massage.

The goal of physical therapy is to help you return you to a normal lifestyle.  Where daily tasks and activities become easy for you. In the case of some patients the goals are to return to a condition that allows the patient to return to work, to a sport or recover essential functions such as balance and coordination.

Physical therapy is essential in the recovery after most surgeries. In many instances, people can benefit from physical therapy for injuries, severe health issues or long-term health problems such as arthritis, stroke, diabetic neuropathy or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Physical therapy may be used alone or in combination with chiropractic care.

MASSAGE

In addition to traditional physical therapy, we are pleased to offer massage therapy.

Massage is the term used for pressing, rubbing manipulating muscles, tendons and other soft tissues.

Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.

In our clinics it may be ordered by the chiropractor as part of your overall care or possibly the main point of your care. As with everything we do in our clinics we look to offer you the treatment that will help you regain your health in the most effective manner.
